Geography Is A Beautiful Thing

Overview
The 9th Grade World Geography course is a one-semester junior high school course focusing on physical and human geography, with an emphasis on current events. Following the Utah state core objectives for Geography, each student will work to expand his or her worldview and to deepen their knowledge of cultures in our global community.

Rules and expectations
The study of human geography encompasses many different ethnicities, beliefs and customs. All students are expected to be respectful and create an atmosphere that is conducive for learning: one in which each student's rights are protected, and each student has an equal opportunity to learn. Each student is expected to follow the school Academic Honest Code:
Respect Yourself, Respect All People.

Other Reminders:
  • Students will come to class prepared, ready to work and in their seat when the bell rings.
  • Sutedents should listen and stay seated when someone is talking and raise their hands before responding or asking a question.
  • Students should respect other people's property-keep the room clean and neat, pick up litter, return borrowed property, and not write on a desk.
  • Absolutely no cell phones or iPods in class. If I see them they will be taken away and put in the office.
  • No food in the classroom
